* Yawn*
Electricity went off for a while last night... Awoke to a blinking useless alarm clock and now I'm late.
Not that I work...let me rephrase that...not that I have a job...shit, that doesn't get it, either. Read on...
Moved back to my old neighborhood that Brat and I talk about because Pop needed me. He owned two houses next to one another... one being the one I grew up in. He kept it unoccupied and ready for us to come back to since 1979.
See, Poppa has Parkinson's, dementia, and now cancer... My LIFE revolves on caring for him 24/7...I gave up my teaching career and decided to come home and keep him out of Gawd awful nursing home (no "hoping to", it's a fact) until the day he dies. Being the good husband and man that he is (don't tell him I said that, since one of my pet names for him is Asshole) said "Family is family, you do what you gotta do."
POINT BEING (eventually, I always get to one), Poppa is in local hospital and my days (and soon nights) will be consumed with sitting up there. He'll come through the infection that sent him there (well, nothing in life is for certain, is it?) and be home again in several days...maybe a week.
So Brat must carrying on...I will post little for the time being. But she has much to say (doesn't she always *snicker*) about the old house that is quite interesting and I will stand behind her saying "Yep, Yep...that's how was."
So CARRY ON BRAT, and I'll return... That's a threat and not a promise!!!

Kentucky Critter, I'm sorry to hear your dad is in such a bad way. You are an awesome daughter for taking on all the responsibility and your husband sounds supportive which is great. Take care!
